Style: Cognac Barrel Aged Spiced Imperial Stout
“Taanilinn“ is the brain child between To Øl and Põhjala, originally brewed in an early collaborations in 2015. Since then it has been aged in Cognac Barrels, creating a big ass, mofo of an Imperial Oatmeal Stout, originally finishing off at 13% before gaining an extra 1% ABV in the barrel. THAT is fresh ageing. Rich, viscousy and rounded, surprisingly balanced and with a big hit of spice from the Vana Talinn (a rum based liquor infused with cinammon and vanilla) that was poured straight in.
