Kasper Ledet’s designs for the various instalments in the Gose To series is centred around a television test screen from the good old days of analogue broadcast. The television test screen was made to test various technical aspects of the signal and had no aesthetic purpose. It is however quite beautiful as a symbol or icon. In that sense it can be compared to industrial architecture like the cooling towers of a power plant. They are designed as a piece of rational engineering but certainly also has iconic qualities in the landscape. Underneath the television test screen various images relating to the specific beers are displayed. A kind of tension or dialogue arises between the logical and clear colours of the test screen and the often organic images underneath.
